HD Performing Arts – Group Classes
1. Safeguarding & Child Welfare
• HD Performing Arts is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all
children.
• All staff and assistants have appropriate safeguarding training and follow recognised
safeguarding procedures.
• Parents/guardians must provide up-to-date emergency contact details and disclose any
relevant medical, behavioural, or learning needs prior to the start of classes.
• Students must be collected promptly at the end of each session by a known adult unless
prior written permission has been given for alternative arrangements.
2. Payments & Fees
• Fees are payable per full term only with an option to pay in two instalments .
• This is not a pay-as-you-go service. Places cannot be held without payment.
• Sibling discounts (if applicable) must be requested at the time of booking.
• Late payment may result in your child’s place being withdrawn.
3. Attendance & Absence
• Regular attendance is encouraged to support learning and group progress.
• Missed classes (including illness, holidays or personal reasons) are non-refundable and
non-transferable.
• In the unlikely event HD Performing Arts has to cancel a class, a replacement class will
be offered where possible.
4. Behaviour & Conduct
• Students are expected to show respect to teachers, assistants, and peers.
• Bullying, disruptive behaviour, or disrespect will not be tolerated. HD Performing Arts
reserves the right to withdraw a student’s place if behaviour repeatedly affects the safety
or enjoyment of others.
5. Health & Safety
• Students should wear suitable clothing and footwear for movement and performance.
• Water bottles are encouraged.
• Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child is fit to participate.
6. Media & Publicity
• From time to time, photographs or video may be taken during classes or performances
for HD Performing Arts publicity (website, social media, print).
• Please fill in consent or no consent on our registration form.
7. Lost Property & Personal Belongings
• HD Performing Arts cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal items
brought to classes.
• A small lost-property box will be kept for misplaced items during the term.
8. Notice Period & Withdrawals
• Should you wish to withdraw your child, a minimum of 6 weeks’ written notice is required.
• No refunds will be given for early withdrawal from a term once classes have commenced.
9. Liability
• HD Performing Arts holds appropriate Public Liability Insurance.
• Every reasonable effort is made to ensure classes are safe; however, parents/guardians
accept that participation is at their child’s own risk.
By enrolling with HD Performing Arts, you confirm you have read, understood, and
agree to these Terms & Conditions.
HD Performing Arts – Collection & Health and Safety Policy
This policy outlines the procedures in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children
attending HD Performing Arts classes and being collected from school.
1. Collection from School
- Children will be collected from the designated school meeting point by a named HD Performing
Arts staff member.
- All children will wear high-visibility coats provided by HD Performing Arts for safe crossing of
roads.
- Children will walk in pairs or small groups and will be supervised at all times.
- Where required, child safety walking ropes with wrist attachments may be used to ensure safe
crossing.
- The ratio of adults to children will always be appropriate to the group size. If numbers increase,
additional staff will be allocated.
2. Notification of Changes
- If your child does not require collection on a particular day, parents must notify HD Performing Arts
at least 2 days in advance.
- If your child is sick on the day of collection, you must inform HD Performing Arts as soon as
possible so the school can be updated.
- HD Performing Arts cannot accept responsibility for children who have not been correctly reported
as absent from collection.
3. Safeguarding & Safety Rules
- Children will only be collected by authorised HD Performing Arts staff.
- Children will not be released to anyone other than a parent/guardian unless written permission has
been provided in advance.
- All staff follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
- Children are expected to follow instructions during collection to ensure their own safety and the
safety of others.
4. Parent Responsibilities
- Ensure consent forms are fully completed and kept up to date with emergency contact details.
- Inform HD Performing Arts promptly of any medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements.
- Communicate clearly about collection arrangements, absences, or sickness as outlined above.
5. Emergencies
- In the unlikely event of an emergency during collection, HD Performing Arts staff will follow
safeguarding procedures and contact parents immediately.
